Antiracist pedagogy includes many theories and methodologies that have a variety of definitions that have changed over time.

This article is a synthesis of my own work as well as a critical reading of the key literature in anti-racist pedagogy. Its purpose is to define anti-racist pedagogy and what applying this to courses and the fullness of our professional lives entails. An antiracist reading list is, by definition, an insufficient form for addressing racism.

2020-01-31 · Can mathematics be antiracist? Last semester, I developed a class called Inequalities: Numbers and Justice , aimed towards non-majors. My students ranged from undergraduate seniors to students in the local high school, with majors ranging from Government to Chinese to Computer Science.

Furthermore, antiracist pedagogy was less emotional for those who were more racially aware, were from targeted racial groups, and/or had more experience academically engaging with the issue.
